MURPH CHALLENGE 2020

Trinity Physical Therapy is proud to be an official host of the 2020 MURPH Challenge on Sunday, May 24th.  The Murph Challenge is a fun and physically challenging Memorial Day event to honor not only Lt.  Michael Murphy, but all of the brave men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our safety and freedom. Final Fitness gym has been kind enough to provide their facility for us to host this year's MURPH Challenge. Coach Derrick Joseph, owner of DeeJoe Fitness, is also sponsoring and will help coach and motivate participants. He will be offering participants one free training class with him. Main Squeeze of Metairie has also generously donated some products and discounts to participants. Louisiana Running and Walking Company will be giving the top male and female finisher a pair of free running shoes, and all participants will receive a coupon for discounts on their next running shoe purchase. 

We have designed three levels of the MURPH Challenge in an effort to make this a fun event for all fitness levels and ages. We will also have modifications for exercises as needed with instruction provided by the physical therapists and strength coaches. This is a free event to participate in and is open to all ages! It is not necessary to register on the Murph Challenge website (www,themurphchallenge.com) unless you want your finish time to be ranked among all participants in the World. 

We will be staggering our times into groups of 6-8, families can pair up and do the challenge together. We will be doing some deep cleaning between sessions. 

Below are the three MURPH Challenges you can choose from. Set your goal and see you this Sunday! Please sign up today at INFO@TRINITYPTNOLA.COM 

MURPH Jr. (Designed for the youth participants): 

  • 400 meter jog

  • 20Pull Ups 

  • 40 Push ups

  • 60 Squats 

  • 400 meter jog

MURPH Lite (1/2 MURPH): ( Designed for participants not quite prepared for the full Murph Challenge)

  • 800 meter jog

  • 50 pull ups

  • 100 push ups

  • 150 squats 

  • 800 meter jog 

THE MURPH Challenge:  (Please only choose if you have been training and feel physically prepared)

  • 1 mile jog

  • 100 pull ups

  • 200 push ups

  • 300 squats

  • 1 mile jog
