MURPH 2020: Virtual exercise to honor our Armed Forces

On Memorial Day weekend, Sunday May 24th, 2020, we are challenging YOU to join us for “The MURPH 2020”. This physically and mentally tough workout event is done to honor and remember the men and women of the armed forces who have lost their lives protecting us and defending our freedom.

Our team of physical therapists, performance coaches, and personal trainers at DeeJoe Fitness, Final Fitness, and Trinity Physical Therapy will get you ready for MURPH 2020 by hosting virtual training sessions via weekly videos and blog posts!

This is a difficult time for everyone. Let the adversity caused by the COVID-19  virus make us stronger, healthier, and more resilient!

This training routine can become a virtual backyard PE class for children, and a personal training routine for parents and college students.

Consider setting this goal, and conquer it! We will be designing a MURPH Jr. for kids, a modified MURPH called a MURPH lite, and a full MURPH. All of the workouts will be safe bodyweight exercises, and you can adapt by adding some resistance when you are ready.

The MURPH will be FREE for participants, but donations will be accepted for the Lt. Michael Murphy Scholarship Fund.

We will be putting our weekly training videos and blog posts on Facebook, Instagram, and our websites:

www.TrinityPTnola.com and www.DeeJoeFitness.com

Our first video workout post will be Wednesday April 1st!

We hope you can join us! Please pass on the invitation to friends and family.

The May 24th MURPH event will be hosted at Trinity Physical Therapy , Final Fitness Gym, and Dee Joe Performance at 206 Edwards Avenue in Harahan.

Please RSVP or send questions to Info@TrinityPTNola.com

Wishing you the best of health!

John Moran, PT, DPT and Chris Piacun, PT, DPT, MTC

Navy Seal Lt. Michael Murphy, who the MURPH is named after,  was killed in action during a mission called Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan on June 28th, 2005. Lt. Michael Murphy was awarded the medal of honor on October 27, 2007 for his heroic actions. Lt. Murphy designed the MURPH workout himself, and used it as part of his training routine.
